Bowden, the Toxteth Road, Glebe, residence, has been listed by lawyer Tim Weekes and his wife, corporate compliance executive Victoria, with record-setting $4 million-plus hopes. The six-bedroom property goes to auction on April 2 through McGrath agent Michael Glynn in conjunction with Bill Bridges from Ballard Property. The 1886 Gothic-revival mansion sits within the Toxteth Estate. The 607 sq m corner parcel last traded in 1997 for $1.35 million.Force deserts sellerStars Wars operative Rick McCallum, the right-hand man of George Lucas, has yet to sell his Darling Point apartment. It failed to sell at last weekend's poorly attended Leonarder Collins auction. Listed with $7.5 million-plus hopes, the 370 sq m New Beach Road apartment cost $5.4 million in 2002. The whole-floor unit was designed by Iain Halliday in the L'amarre complex, developed by Barry and Christine Elsbury in partnership with Ron and Robin White. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and an office, all with direct lift access from double garaging. There's also a loggia overlooking Rushcutters Bay.Rabbitoh out of hatSouth Sydney Rabbitohs director Nick Hatzistergos and his wife, Despina, have sold their South Coogee house. The north-facing Pearce Street property with views to Wedding Cake Island had been listed with $6 million-plus hopes. The house sold before its scheduled auction for about $6.5 million-plus.Not 2Day, thanks2DayFM announcer Jackie O and her husband, Lee Henderson, withdrew their 1890s Paddington house from its midweek auction. The four-bedroom Victorian terrace sits on a 210 sq m block. The couple have revamped the Elizabeth Street terrace since buying it from Shine producer Jane Scott in 2009 for $2.75 million. The terrace was listed through Martin Maskin of Raine & Horne Double Bay with $3 million hopes. The couple maintain a 42-hectare Kangaroo Valley farm that cost $825,000 in 2005. Since the birth of Kitty, their first child, Jackie does most of her broadcasts from the south coast property.Ranch receivershipFernhill at Mulgoa, the 290-hectare retreat of property developer Warren Anderson, has been listed for a May marketing campaign with $50 million-plus hopes under the instructions of receivers KordaMentha. The 1842 estate was bought from John Darling in 1980 for $2.8 million. It was built for pioneer Edward Cox in the Greek revival temple style. The swashbuckling property tycoon, whose collection of regency antiques, old master paintings, French Empire clocks and exotic stuffed animals raised $15 million last year after matrimonial disputation, has faced possession issues before. He lost Boomerang at Elizabeth Bay in 1993.Garden havenLiz Macpherson, whose catering company has turned Fort Denison in Sydney Harbour into a world-class restaurant, has listed her Bellevue Hill family home. More than $2.7 million is being sought for its April 5 auction through Patrick Moxey from Laing+Simmons Double Bay. The four-bedroom Rivers Street house has gardens designed by Scott Williams of Bay Street Gardens. The house cost $595,000 in 1992.Buyers in waitingThe penthouse atop Keltie Bay in Darling Point, with its own marina berth, has been sold before its first official open for inspection. It was listed by David Kunde. The penthouse, last traded for $1.7 million in 1996, occupies an entire floor of the harbour-front complex of six apartments on Sutherland Crescent. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, a conservatory-style sitting room and a pool and spa. It has 275 sq m of internal space plus 160 sq m of terracing. After its 2003 renovation, it was listed in 2004 with ambitious $10 million expectations. More than $9 million was sought in 2005 and about $8 million was sought in 2008. This time it's been sold for apparently just short of $9 million through Laing+Simmons Double Bay agent Bart Doff, who presumably had the buyers on his books, an all-too-rare occurrence among agents.Sweet successThe Atlanta-based global brand director of Coca-Cola, Shane Grant, secured $1,115,000 for his two-bedroom Balmain East terrace. The Paul Street terrace on 120 sq m was sold through Cobden & Hayson Balmain agent Adrian Oddi. Last traded for $882,000 in 2006, it's been periodically rented at $600-plus a week over recent years.Penthouses aplentyPaul Uren, of Goldman Sachs JBWere, has sold his Potts Point penthouse in the Kingsclere building for $3.45 million to the Hannan publishing family. It was listed through Richardson & Wrench agent Jason Boon by Uren and his wife, Jennifer, who initially expected $4 million-plus last August. Its fitout by BKH came after it cost $1.75 million in 2004, after Uren's return from New York. The 215 sq m abode, on the corner of Macleay Street and Greenknowe Avenue, first sold for $675,000 in 1995.The top-floor Bondi Beach home of creative husband-and-wife team, visual artist Tanya Linney and photographer Simon Lekias, has been listed for April 2 auction through Costa Charalambous of Laing+Simmons Coogee. It's in the Berkley Court block on the corner of Beach Road and Campbell Parade. The two-bedroom unit was bought by Linney in 2005 after she returned from her international modelling career. More than $1 million is being sought. The spacious rooftop is not on the title but the only access is via the apartment's living room.YOU KNOW WHO YOU AREWhich McGrath Lane Cove agent had his high-performance Mercedes stolen midweek by three thieves with baseball bats and balaclavas? And who has paid a record $1.4 million for a 460 sq m Willoughby semi through Danny and Diane Grant at Ray White? The Marlborough Road semi last sold for $1.19 million in 2008.
