Brooke has been working continuously and exclusively in the criminal arena for over 15 years in various capacities. Brooke has worked extensively in both metropolitan and country New South Wales and then for the last 7 years on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. He has had extensive experience in both the Magistrates Courts in Queensland and also the Local Courts in New South Wales. Brooke has also represented many people in the District and Supreme Courts of both Queensland and New South Wales. Brooke completed his schooling on the Gold Coast and then completed a degree in Business Management (BBus) from Griffith University on the Gold Coast. He then concentrated his studies in the area of law and completed his Law Degree (LLB) with the University of New England (Armidale). Brooke then went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) with the Australian National University in Canberra. Brooke is admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland, the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory, and the High Court of Australia. Brooke has extensive experience in dealing with Police investigations, and also investigations by other statutory and regulatory bodies. Brooke has a passion for advocacy and has particular skills in trials, pleas and also complicated bail applications. Brooke has had extensive experience in both the adult and juvenile jurisdictions

Katherine Hanson (LLB, B Int Bus, GDLP)

Practicing criminal and family law for the past five years across the Gold Coast, Beenleigh and Brisbane, Katherine Hanson has the experience and qualifications necessary to provide you with quality advice and representation specific to your needs. Katherine graduated with a Law Degree (LLB) and a Bachelor of International Business (B. Int Bus) from Griffith University in 2005 and gained her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) before being admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2006. Since awakening her passion working on the internationally renowned Griffith University Innocence Project she has continued to hone her skills advocating for her clients in criminal, family, civil and succession law, appearing extensively in the Magistrates, District, Supreme and Family Courts. Katherine also has extensive experience representing clients in all areas of Family Law in relation to both parenting and financial matters. She has also assisted and guided clients through domestic violence and child protection proceedings. A member of the Queensland Law Society, Katherine’s skills and love of advocacy across criminal and family law has cemented her reputation as a meticulous and well respected lawyer. With a wide range of experience dealing with criminal charges, hearings, bail applications, police investigations and other matters, Katherine is an accredited Duty Lawyer and can assist and support you in applying for Legal Aid.
