Baker & Borthwick Solicitors
We are a unique husband & wife legal practice (Laurie & Joan Hagan) in the popular twin seaside towns of Forster and Tuncurry on the Mid-North Coast. Our solicitors follow a long line of previous highly respected lawyers including the founder Max Borthwick, former Mayor, and Bryan Baker, a notary, tax agent and strong advocate.
Overview
We are more than just a legal practice. We take time to understand our client's needs. Laurie Hagan is not only a qualified solicitor and court advocate, he is an economist, former accountant and management consultant. Joan Hagan is not only a qualified lawyer, she is a former Commonwealth public servant, counsellor, management consultant and teacher. She gives talks on estate planning and family law. Because we have more than just legal experience, we see problems from a broader personal perspective. We will therefore deliver you practical, more satisfying legal solutions. We also have extras like tax and ASIC agencies so our solutions go further.
How to find us?
Our office is at 1 Wharf Street, Tuncurry, just on the Tuncurry side of the landmark Forster-Tuncurry bridge in the main street. There is ample parking. Contacting us is easy. You cannot forget our telephone number:
(02) 65 555 555.
Within reason, we will also go where you need us to go. If you have a hearing in the Supreme Court, Sydney, we can appear. In fact any jurisdiction or tribunal in NSW. All this means you can keep all your legal affairs in one place right here. You do not have to have two or more firms elsewhere or find your own help.
What are we good at?
We practise in a full range of areas. We do not specialise in any one area nor claim to be "accredited" in one area. Please see our free brochures in each area of practice.
